R&D Engineering That Turns Ideas Into Real Products
We take your idea, check that it can be built, make and test samples, then produce it, all with one trusted partner.
Engineering Support From the Very Start
Fixing a design early is much cheaper than fixing it after the tools are made. Meco spots problems first, so your product is easier to build, easier to grow, and more reliable.
Our feedback comes from running 40+ real in-house processes, not just theory.
Make It Buildable
We check your design and materials to catch issues before tooling starts.
Test Before You Scale
We build and test samples so you can confirm fit, look, and function first.
Get Ready for Production
Once approved, we handle tooling, inspection, and a smooth production launch.
Why Meco Instead of a Design-Only Firm?
A design-only team just hands you a drawing. Meco links your design straight to real production, quality checks, and delivery, so nothing gets lost between suppliers.
Product Design
3D modeling, DFM checks, and material choice before any tooling is cut.
Product Sampling
Prototypes in 1 to 2 weeks, then tested for fit and function.
Pilot Run
A small run checks tooling and quality, with FAI and CMM inspection.
Volume Production
Scale from 10 pieces to 10 million+ with assembly and global delivery.
From Concept to Volume in Four Stages
Meco follows one clear path from start to finish: design, sampling, pilot run, and full production, all handled by one team you can count on.
Because we run machining, casting, molding, and assembly in-house, your product never has to switch suppliers as it grows.
R&D Engineering Across Industries
Design help built for tough, high-mix industries, taking products from idea and prototype through to a finished, production-ready design.
Automotive Parts Engineering
Design and material help for powertrain, chassis, EV, and interior parts in aluminum, steel, magnesium, and plastics. Checked to tight tolerances before tooling, under IATF 16949:2016.
Aerospace Parts Engineering
Design and prototyping for aircraft structures, turbine parts, and avionics enclosures. Simulation, material certs, serial tracking, and NDT planning are built into the design stage.

R&D Engineering FAQ
What does Meco's R&D engineering team do?
We turn product ideas into designs that can actually be built. That means design review, DFM feedback, prototypes, material advice, testing, pilot runs, and production planning, all in one place.
Can Meco help if I only have an idea?
Yes. We can look at early sketches, samples, or CAD files and help plan the next steps. See our guide on how to get your invention made for what to prepare.
What is DFM and why does it matter?
DFM means "design for manufacturing." It makes sure a product is not just well designed, but easy to build. Good DFM can cut 15 to 30% of part cost and stop quality problems before they start.
Can Meco build prototypes and then handle production?
Yes. We handle design, samples, pilot runs, and full whole product manufacturing. You never have to switch suppliers to scale from 10 pieces to 10 million+.
What files should I send for a review?
The most useful files are 3D CAD (STEP or IGES), 2D drawings, material needs, quantities, and finish requirements. Don't have all of them? Send what you have and we'll reply in under 24 hours.
Is Meco's process certified?
Yes. We work under an IATF 16949:2016 certified quality system, the top automotive standard, which includes all ISO 9001:2015 rules. CMM inspection to ±0.002 mm and full traceability are used across every industry we serve.
From Idea to Production
Send your drawings, CAD, sample, or idea. We review it and send back tips that lower cost and risk.
We make and test samples, then adjust the design for cost and quality. Prototypes in 1 to 2 weeks.
A small run confirms tooling, materials, and quality checks before final sign-off.
Once approved, we handle full production, assembly, packaging, and global delivery, all in one place.
