5 Ways to Make Plastic Parts, All in One Place
There are five main ways to turn plastic into finished parts. Each way works best for a certain shape, size, and number of parts. We pick the right one for your project.

Plastic Injection Molding
We push melted plastic into a metal mold to make solid parts. Great for housings, gears, and clips. We can also bond metal inside plastic or mix two plastics in one part. Accurate to 0.05 mm. Steel molds last for over a million parts.

Plastic Extrusion
We push melted plastic through a shaped opening to make long parts like tubes, seals, and channels. The plastic comes out in one long piece, and we cut it to the length you need. Works with PVC, PP, PE, PC, and PA.

Blow Molding
We blow air into hot plastic inside a mold to make hollow parts like bottles, tanks, and ducts. The plastic stretches to fit the mold shape with even walls. After molding, we trim, drill, and test for leaks. Learn more about how blow molding works.

Thermoformed Blister
We heat a flat plastic sheet until it gets soft, then press it over a mold to take a shape. Perfect for trays, clamshells, and product packaging. We can make them anti-static so they protect electronics, or strong enough to reuse many times.

Plastic 3D Printing
We build parts one thin layer at a time using a 3D printer. No mold needed, so it's perfect for testing ideas fast or making just a few parts. We print with ABS, TPU, PEEK, PC, PLA, and Nylon. We can even mix soft and hard plastics in one part.

Common Questions About Injection Molding
How much does a mold cost?
A fast aluminum test mold costs $2,000 to $8,000. A softer steel mold for medium runs costs $8,000 to $25,000. A hard steel mold for big production runs costs $20,000 to $80,000 or more. The price depends on how big the part is and how tricky the shape is. Hard steel molds can make over a million parts.
How much does each plastic part cost?
Small parts in common plastics (PP, ABS) cost 10 cents to $1 each. Bigger or fancier parts (PC, Nylon) cost 50 cents to $5 each. Special plastics like PEEK or glass-filled mixes cost $3 to $30 or more. The more parts you order, the cheaper each one gets.
How long until I get my parts?
A fast aluminum mold takes 2 to 3 weeks to build. A steel production mold takes 4 to 8 weeks. Once you approve the first test samples, we can ship parts in days or weeks. We send you a price quote in under 24 hours after you send your drawings.
How accurate can the parts be?
Our standard accuracy is 0.05 mm, which is thinner than a human hair. For special features, we can hold even tighter sizes by carefully designing the mold and controlling cooling. Read our guide to injection molding for more details.
Should I use injection molding or thermoforming?

Can you do two-shot or overmolding?
Yes. We can put metal pieces inside plastic parts, or stick two plastics together (like soft rubbery TPU on hard PC for a comfy grip). Learn more in our two-shot molding guide.
What's the smallest order you accept?
There's no strict minimum. With our fast aluminum molds, 100 to 500 parts work great for testing ideas or small pilots. Injection molding usually makes sense when you need at least 1,000 to 5,000 parts a year. For just a few parts, 3D printing may be a better fit.
Do you put parts together too?
Yes. After molding, parts can go straight to chrome plating, PVD coating, painting, pad printing, or ultrasonic welding. We can also do full mechanical assembly. One supplier handles the whole job.
What quality certifications do you have?
We have IATF 16949:2016, the top quality stamp used by car makers. It includes everything in ISO 9001:2015. We follow strict steps like APQP, PPAP, SPC, and PFMEA.
